Spring quilt market - part 2

I'm back with more quilt market photos to share, this time from the Riley Blake 'village'. There were so many beautiful booths and quilts in our zone!

(Tasha Noel's booth for her new Xmas range, Pixie Noel - I want to live in this room!)

(Lori Holt's booth - her new line Sew Cherry 2 is so stinkin' cute!)

(Shari & Melissa's shared booth for their new fabric ranges)

(Shari Butler of Doohikey Designs showcasing her new line 'Wistful Winds')

(Melissa Mortenson of Polkadotchair with her new line Wonderland)

(Lila and Elea in their shared booth for 'Fantine' and 'Strawberry Biscuit')

(my Strawberry Biscuit quilt in Elea's booth)

(Luuurved this x-stitch inspired quilt design)

(Left to right: me, Elea Lutz, Amy Sinibaldi, & Nadra Ridgeway having a chinwag in Elea's booth)

(Meadow Sweets by Jill Finley - what a cute display!)

(Lori Holt's new Xmas quilt - I need to join the sew along to make this!)

(Simple Simon & Company's 'When Skies Are Grey' - the basket of naked babies cracked me up!)

(Last but not least - my Sweet Orchard booth and my booth buddy Melanie from Melly & Me!)

I was so blessed to have some amazing friends and talented designers helping with my booth sewing. The lighting in my booth was a little harsh so the photos I took did not come out too well, so instead I will show you the makers' own photos of the items they made using Sweet Orchard! I loved showing off each and every one of them in my booth - thank you ladies, you truly rock.

(The star of the show - 'Sweet Stars' quilt made by Peta from She Quilts A Lot)

(Amity's Garden cot quilt made by Jemima from Tied With A Ribbon)

(Apple pie cushion made by Sarah from Piccolo Studio, and cute doll by Deb's Steiner Dolls)

(Beautiful fussy cut hexie pouch made by Ange from A Little Patchwork)

(Sweetest fruit wreath mini made by Minki Kim aka Zeriano - this girl is a genius. Seriously.)

(More cuteness from Minki - tags made with her new range of stamps)

(Little Granny mini by Stacy Olson of Stacy Olson Designs - perfection!!)

(Cute little backpack - also by Stacy Olson)

(Two more mini quilts - these were made by Samantha from Aqua Paisley. Love the patterns!)

(The sweetest project caddy pouch! Also made by Samantha from Aqua Paisley)

(I had a prototype of my upcoming book 'Quilt Petite' on display! The sweet doll is by Debs' Steiner Dolls, the stuffed apple & pear are by Corinna of Corinna May Creations, the apple juice is by Sarah of Inkling Threads & Ric Rac & Retro)

(A close up of the sweet apple juice popper)

(Sarah also made these cute banners for my booth, and that sweet dress below! All drawings are her own)

(Tote bag made by my dear friend Amy of Nana Company, showcasing the cheater print from my range)

(I had two sweet dresses and banner made by the lovely Melissa from Oh How Sweet Co - so cute!)

(Butterfly wings by Xanthe from Wife-made - just gorgeous.)

(It was pretty surreal seeing the Riley Blake sales reps taking orders for my fabric!)

Well done if you made it this far! After months and months of anticipation and preparation, the market is finally over. Truth be told I was pretty worried about the anti-climax afterwards, but in actual fact I am so glad to be back home in the arms of my family, and catching up on life in general (and sleep!). Also my quilt market haul pictured below certainly makes life a little more bearable! All in all I have been pretty restrained I think, especially on the fabric front. I've been coveting every single item in this photo for months! Especially that limited edition Riley Blake bag at the back, and my polka dot magnetic pin holder from Pleasant Home. And all the Rifle Paper Company and Anthropologie goodies of course!

(And this, my friends, is proof that persistence (and lots and lots of shameless begging) pays off. A bundle of the new Rifle Paper Co fabric - my idea of heaven.)

Spring quilt market - part 1

I've just returned home from one of the most thrilling weeks of my life, my first international quilt market, where I showcased my debut collection for Riley Blake Designs, Sweet Orchard. It's been a pretty insane week to say the least, totally worth the 26 hour journey from South Australia to Salt Lake City!

I unpacked today and sorted out my market photos. I have way too many of them to share in one post so I am going to split them, and post the second half tomorrow. My brain is a bit fried with all the travel and jet lag so not feeling up to doing a big write-up, instead I will let the pictures speak for themselves!

(I completely forgot to take a photo of the city-scape, so found this image on Google to give you an idea of what Salt Lake City looks like in spring! Surrounded by snow-capped mountains!)

(I couldn't go to the US and not pay a visit to (and spend a small fortune at) Anthropologie!)

(at Riley Blake offices in Alpine, Utah - a short drive from Salt Lake City)

After two days of feverish activity with everyone setting up their booths, the quilt market finally kicked off. Guys, it's BIG. I had no idea.

(my Sweet Orchard booth!)

(I may have visited the Rifle Paper Co booth a dozen times over the course of the market. I begged and begged and begged for a bundle and finally they sold me one just to get rid of me! Score!)

(Magic by Sarah Jane studios, featuring a pair of butterfly wings made with my friend Xanthe's pattern)

(Playground by Amy Sinibaldi)

(Strawberry Moon by Sandi Henderson)

(Elizabeth Hartman and her new quilt pattern, Lepidoptera)

(Hello Ollie by Bonnie Christine - quite possibly the prettiest booth at market)

(Joie de Vivre by Bari J)

(Sample spree - I've never seen money spent so fast by so many women at once!)

(Met so many amazing designers and quilters, these are just a few of them! From the top: Lori Holt, Jemima Flendt, Nadra Ridgeway, Sue Daley, Amy Sinibaldi, Emma Jean Jansen, Shari Butler, Camille Roskelley, Peta Peace, Amy Smart, Jina Barney, Bari J)

To be continued tomorrow :-)
